Eris is one of the most fascinating figures in Greek mythology because her power does not come from brute force or overwhelming size, but from disruption. She is the goddess of discord, rivalry, and conflict—the one who can fracture order simply by placing the right spark in the right place.

She is most famously connected to the golden apple inscribed “for the fairest,” a seemingly simple object that triggered jealousy among the goddesses and set in motion the chain of events that would lead to the Trojan War.
