Giant Sky Face Yokai

Oonyudo is a mysterious yokai that manifests as a massive face appearing in the sky. Often said to emerge above mountains or quiet villages, it blends seamlessly into the clouds, making it unclear where the entity begins or ends.

At first glance, it resembles a human face. However, its distorted features, uneven eyes, and unnatural expression create a deeply unsettling presence. The more one looks, the more the face appears to shift between human and something unknown.

In this illustration, the enormous face fills the sky, towering over the landscape below. Small human figures and distant buildings emphasize its overwhelming scale, reinforcing the sense that the entire world is under its gaze.

Unlike many yokai, Oonyudo does not rely on physical attack. Instead, it silently watches from above, instilling fear and unease in those who witness it. With nowhere to hide, the sky itself becomes a source of dread.

The swirling cloud patterns create both visual movement and open areas for coloring, allowing for a balance between intricate detail and relaxing spaces. This composition captures the quiet terror of being watched by something far beyond human understanding.

大入道（おおにゅうどう）

大入道は、空に巨大な顔として現れるとされる不思議な妖怪です。 山や静かな村の上空に現れ、雲と一体化するように姿を見せるため、 その輪郭や境界ははっきりとしません。

一見すると人の顔のようにも見えますが、 歪んだ表情や不均衡な目、異様な存在感が、 見る者に強い違和感と恐怖を与えます。

このイラストでは、巨大な顔が空いっぱいに広がり、 下に描かれた人々や建物との対比によって、 その圧倒的なスケールが強調されています。

大入道は直接襲いかかる存在ではなく、 ただ上空から見下ろすことで恐怖を与える存在です。 空そのものが覆われるため、逃げ場はなく、 ただ見られているという感覚が強い不安を生み出します。

雲の流れは滑らかな線で描かれており、 細かい部分と広い余白がバランスよく配置されています。 塗りの自由度が高く、落ち着いた塗り体験と 不気味な世界観を同時に楽しめる作品です。
