Cursed Water Serpent of the Deep

Mizuchi is a feared water spirit said to dwell in rivers, lakes, and deep waters. Unlike divine dragons, it is not a being to be worshiped, but a dangerous presence associated with floods, drowning, and unseen depths.

In this illustration, Mizuchi emerges from a turbulent body of water, its enormous serpent-like form coiling through crashing waves. Its massive body dominates the scene, rising above the water like a living disaster.

The creature twists upward in a powerful spiral, with its head lifted high and its jaws open in a silent roar. Its scales are large and clearly defined, while its mane-like hair flows like currents, blending with splashing water and waves.

ミズチは川や湖、深い水の中に棲むとされる恐ろしい水の精霊で、 洪水や溺死などの災いをもたらす存在として語られています。 龍神のように崇められる存在ではなく、 人にとって危険な存在として恐れられてきました。

このイラストでは、ミズチが荒れ狂う水面から姿を現し、 巨大な身体をうねらせながら波を巻き上げています。 その姿はまるで災害そのもののように描かれています。

身体は大きく巻き上がるような構図で、 頭を高く持ち上げ、口を大きく開いた迫力ある姿になっています。 鱗は大きくはっきりと描かれ、 たてがみのような流れる毛は水の流れと一体化するように表現されています。
