Kuchisake-onna is one of Japan’s most well-known urban legends, a figure born from whispered rumors and late-night fears. She appears as an ordinary woman at first glance, blending seamlessly into the modern city.

In this illustration, she stands at the center of a busy street, surrounded by people who remain unaware of her true nature. The everyday cityscape creates a false sense of safety, making her presence even more unsettling.

一見すると普通の女性に見える彼女は、人混みの中にも自然に紛れ込みます。しかしその笑みの奥には、顔を大きく裂いた異様な口が隠されており、近づいた者に強烈な恐怖を与えます。

この作品では、現代の街並みの中に立つ姿として描かれており、周囲の人々はその危険に気づいていません。安全であるはずの場所に異質な存在が紛れ込んでいることで、より強い違和感と緊張感が生まれています。
