雷神 ― 雷と力を司る神

天空を震わせる力を持つ存在——雷神。

日本神話において雷神は、雷と稲妻を司る神として知られています。背後に配された太鼓を打ち鳴らすことで雷鳴を生み出し、その轟音とともに嵐を呼び起こします。

妖怪のように人の感情から生まれた存在ではなく、雷神は自然そのものの力を体現した存在です。恐怖や欲望に縛られることなく、純粋なエネルギーとして存在し、破壊と守護という相反する側面を併せ持っています。
