Otakemaru is one of the most powerful oni in Japanese folklore, often regarded as a king among demons. Known for his immense strength and mastery of weapons, he stands not as a mindless force, but as a warrior of discipline, strategy, and overwhelming presence.

Unlike lesser oni that rely on brute violence, Otakemaru embodies control and command. He is said to wield multiple swords, each representing a different aspect of power, and to lead forces beyond human understanding.

His form reflects both ferocity and precision—a fusion of demon and warrior. In many interpretations, he stands at the boundary between a destructive oni and a divine force of war.

大嶽丸 ― 鬼の王たる戦士

すべての鬼が、ただ暴れる存在とは限らない。

大嶽丸は、日本の伝承において最強格の鬼とされる存在の一つであり、「鬼の王」とも呼ばれる存在です。圧倒的な力と武器の扱いに長け、単なる怪物ではなく、戦いを支配する戦士として描かれています。

多くの鬼が本能的な暴力に頼るのに対し、大嶽丸は知性と統率を持ちます。複数の剣を操り、それぞれが異なる力を象徴するとされ、人ならざる軍勢を率いる存在とも言われています。

その姿は、鬼の凶暴さと武人の技を兼ね備えたもの。破壊者でありながら統制された力を持ち、鬼と戦神の境界に立つ存在といえます。

本作品では、雷と炎をまといながら前へ踏み出す大嶽丸を描いています。荒々しさの中に統制された動きがあり、無秩序ではない「支配された力」が表現されています。

和彫りや浮世絵の影響を受けた力強い線は、迫力を保ちながらも塗りやすさを確保しています。
